What I think this quote means is that we will have a chance too try again but this time we will get closer to our goal then the first we had tried.I also think this quote means don’t be afraid to fail because the hard work you put in will pay off in the long run and you will be a better person beyond it.In conclusion I think this quote means a million different thing in other people's minds but the most important in my opinion in too never give up and always try again.
ReplyDeleteIn one scenario I was with my friends hanging out and we were trying too hit the crossbar on a soccer net.We tried and we tried but none of could hit it, but we never gave up we took a break in between and then the wind picked up and it made it even harder.After about an about an hour or so we finally hit it and we were so happy then we got mad all of us hit it at the exact same time so we had to do it again cause there was only supposed to be one winner not three after 5 minutes I hit it and I was crowned victorian.
I agree if you can't do something don't give up. Just give it a short break and then come back to it.Even if it seems impossible.
DeleteI agree with you. I wrote almost the same thing for mine. You are right that we can start over and do it again, but better. It might take a long to get it right the first time, but we can get it right quicker the second time. I have made a lot of mistakes but, I fixed them. It was easy because the first time is really just a practice. I also always try again after I don't get it. But, the second time, in frustration, I get it right.
DeleteI agree Hunter. This could quote could be interpreted in many different ways, but the main thing is to not give up. Many people tend to give up but they shouldn't. You and your friends didn't give up and then you were hitting it like it was nothing. People give up way too easy and I think this was a great way of taking the quote. Really great work Hunter.

DeleteThis quote means That as many times you fail, you will always be able to recover and start again. And hopefully succeed but if you dont you dont stop trying because of it. There has been times when everyone has thought about quitting because they couldn't do it or they were afraid or they just keep falling, its happened to me. When i was first learning to do certain types of math like last year. Honestly most the times i just smiled and nodded like i knew what she was talking about be in all reality i didn't know what was going on. I mean i try doesn't always work in the end. Ill ask for help doesn't work nothing works really anymore. Or i could just say screw it and not care and just redu 9th grade all over again which wouldn't be as easy as just ignoring my problem would be. Or even other classes i could just not think about but it would come back to me eventually. There really is no beneficial result in the end if you quit. Unless it's something like you found a way better job so you quit the one you're at now, or even addiction sometimes it's a good thing to quit but not always if the result is positive try to stick through till the end and try your best.
ReplyDeleteI agree you cant stop trying even though you failed. It always happens to me in math aswell I don't know what she is even saying half the time. You shouldn't quit if you fail once or twice or even more as long as you keep trying you will succeed. I also agree that there is no good outcome of quitting.

I think that mistakes teach to not do something the same way as when you made your mistake. You learn from mistakes. This quote reminds of stuff all the time. Sometimes I make mistakes in school and sports. But, I learn from them. After that mistake, I would try to do the same thing but a little more different. Therefore, I fix the mistake. Just like almost everyone else, I make mistakes. It happens almost everyday. But, a couple minutes, hours, days, and so on, I fix them.
ReplyDeleteThis relates to an experience in my life. One time, I failed a test horribly. It was in history in seventh grade. I got a horrible grade because I wasn’t really paying attention. Then, the next week, we had another test. I actually studied and payed attention. Then the teacher handed the test back, the next day, and I got a 96 on it. My first grade was a 54 and now I got a 96. So, the first test I made a huge mistake not studying. But, my second test, I fixed that mistake and got a good grade. Everybody has fixed at least one mistake in their life, including me.
Everyone does make mistakes and that is part of life . You will never meet someone that has never failed or messed up on something. Failure is an opportunity to create great things. But when you fail you need to get back up and try again.

As many people know he was the founder of a very successful business known as Ford Motor Company. So if anyone knows about going through trial and error it’s this man. I think the quote means that if you fail at something that you can attempt it over again but learn from your mistakes and do it better. If you are in charge of a motor company you must go through a period of time where a certain model doesn’t work. If so you must do it again but do something different and learn from your past. Obviously something was wrong if the first model wasn’t right. Other life examples can be tied into this quote also.
ReplyDeleteFor me I was trying to hit a baseball and get on first base and this quote made me think of this. I went up and struck out, after that I analyzed what I did wrong and next time I went up to bat I thought more intelligently of the next swing. Eventually through trial and error I hit the ball and got on base. Life is all about failure, but it’s what you do after failing that makes the biggest difference. You can decide to give up or attempt it again but smarter the next time.

You could say that due to failure you have other chances you take to change up or switch up the you started originally. Even that because of your failure now you have more knowledge to use for the next time you give something an attempt. Sometimes failing will help you see what mistakes you made and where you went wrong. Other times it can make your life very difficult. Just because you fail does not mean you suck.The most intelligent people in the world fail at things but in order to be in the place they are in you must try again to be at the place you want to be. I can relate to this quote with my life and what happened last year. Last year i was a Freshmen and i did really bad in most classes. And i missed most of the school year from being lazy and not getting out of bed. Right before spring break i got a letter in the mail stating that because of all the days i missed i earned zero credit for the year. At that time i was very tired of school and decided that i'm not doing it anymore so from a week before spring break until now i didn't go to school. Because of my failure in the past i'm in the position that i would rather not be in. But Coming back to school this year was my second attempt after you give up on something it will affect you. Maybe not now or next week but somewhere down the road it will. The quote is saying to never give up on anything. All is possible.

ReplyDeleteI think that the quote "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." is telling us that if you fail something, you could just begin it all over again and this time you do it, it will be more intelligent. For example say if you fail a test or a quiz, you could be more prepared next time and you could get an A+ on it instead of another F. Many people think that once they fail something there life is over or if you do something you regret. You can make up your mistakes and try harder on the test or quiz you failed on, or if you broke something like a vase or a picture frame. The ways you could make up your mistakes is if u broke something you could be honest with your parents or your friends and not lie about, maybe they won’t be to mad at you.
ReplyDeleteI could relate to this quote because last year in my math class i failed a test that i rushed do and guessed on it and she let me retake it after school because she knew it wasnt me to fail a test, and I stayed after and got an A on it. She was a little disappointed at me and i would of been to because i didn't even look at the questions i put down random answers and handed it in. When i stayed after i took my time with it and did so much better than i expected to. So yes I could relate to this quote in a way because i failed and then began it again and i did it more intelligently.
i know what you mean Niko that happened to me to but at least we knew how to fix our mistakes and get a better score. Never give up and always work hard and if you fail don't worry about it just be calm and prepare for next time. Study hard:)

I think it means that everyone gets another chance you just have to be smart and think about what you're doing before you actually do it. I also think it means that you just have to try harder and you'll get the opportunity to do it better the second time. You shouldn't stress so much over failing because it's something that happens to everyone. This quote relates to a moment in my life when i lost a very important person in my life that has been there since we were little and i choose someone over her because i thought i could trust the other person more but it turns out i couldn't and she gave me another chance and now i know to trust the people that have always been there for you. And to not second dout people give them a chance to explain. It also relates to the time when i rushed through a test so that i could be done and i got a really bad grade and the teacher s nice enough to let me retake the test after school where this time i knew not to rush through it to take my time.

ReplyDeleteThis relates to me in my own life with sports and school. Sometimes in sports i will have losses and when i lose i have to think about what i could have done better. Recently i figure i have to bring more power to my punch. Also in school sometimes i will get a low grade and i have to say to myself i should study more or spend more time on the question instead of guessing on it. Also on homework i shouldn't leave an area blank i should get some help. This is how the quote failure is simply the opportunity to begin again this time more intelligently relates to my own life.
By the quote Henry Ford said i think he means if you fail once you should try again because you can’t let something stop you. I think he’s trying to say you can’t quit by any means because quitting gets you nowhere in life. When he says failure simply is the opportunity to try again he is saying its a easy way to get better at whatever you failed the last time. Henry means it practice so you won’t fail next time and you will be able to achieve your goal easier and you won’t struggle.You will also think smarter that’s what he means but intelligently.One time i failed my math test and it made me very angry because i studied the night before but when the test came my mind went blink. That's when I started to rush and I finished fast but I knew it was no way I could have got a good grade. I thought about it all day long and then the next day I came into class and the teacher talked to me about it and she said I can retake it the next day and I did. I got a good grade and I was so happy the practice I did helped me to get better at the math, practice makes perfect.

It is not the end of the world you can always fix your mistakes. Like for an example if you fail a test/quiz you should never just give up on it you can always ask the teachers to re do it or you can just be prepared for the next one coming up and get a good grade. But also you should never rush when you are doing a test/quiz anything because you should always take your time just because it is easier for people to concentrate and get better grades never stop trying.
ReplyDeleteThis quote relates to me because one time i was taking a test and i didn't wanna feel dumb and be the last one still working on my test so i just rushed through it but now i know that if you don't rush through it there is a 50/50 % that you will get a higher score out of everybody. Always work hard and never think all because you failed this test you will have a lot of opportunities to make other tests into A+.
I agree with you Allison. If you take your time the outcome will always be better then if you rush. Just because you take longer then others doesn't mean you're less intelligent it just means you need more time to understand things better and most of the time it's the students like that who succeed.

To me it means that it is okay to mess up as long as the next time you do it you learn from your mistakes and you do it better. Everybody makes mistakes and it's okay because we are all human so we are going to mess up every once in awhile. My old teacher always said that messing up is a part of becoming mentally stronger. So as long as we fix our mistakes to improve ourselves messing up or doing something that you could've done better can be beneficial. It relates to an experience in my life because last year my grades weren’t what i wanted them to be. So because of that this year is like a fresh start and i get to take my habits and my experiences from last year and apply them to this year. I can see what i could've done better last year and instead of thinking about it i can do it. So far I've realized things I should've done and didn't. Such as I procrastinate just like I am with this and now it's 11pm and I'm writing this blog when I should've done it earlier but atleast now I know and will next time. Failure is a part of succeeding. It's a way for you to learn and accept that you messed up.
ReplyDeleteThis quote means a lot to me. But I think that this quote means that if you fail or mess up, you will learn from your mistakes. So if you ever do mess up don't take it the wrong way, learn from it and don't do it again. If you fail a test don't just take the 60% ask why you got the 60% and learn what you messed up so in the future you won't mess up on the same thing twice. This quote is very important. People can take it many different ways. But the fact of giving it another try is what i think this quote means.
ReplyDeleteOne experience that can relate to the meaning of this quote is when i was learning a new trick in my bike. I hit the wrong brakes and flew over the bars of my bike. I was very scared and very nervous to get back on my bike. It took me a while to realize not to hit the front brakes and hit the back instead. Another experience I had that relates to this quote is when I was learning to go down a halfpipe at a skate park. I did it the first time and fell luckily i didn't hurt myself so i did it again. Those are some experiences that have happened in my life that relate to this quote.
I agree with Hunter because I think the quote means to try again and not give up. It gives you a chance to try again and do better the next time so you are closer to your goal. I also agree when he said hard work will pay off in the long run because it does if you work hard enough. I think this quote means many different things because everybody thinks different.
