Music has had such an effect on everyone worldwide. It has become a drug to most people, it is addictive. When we hear a melody or rhythm we automatically want to start tapping our feet or throw a little dance move. I always have wondered how does my brain react to music because when I hear a melody or some sort of tune I would always tap because I liked the sound of it. In the article “ Why your Brain Craves Music” it says “Music may,in other words, tap into a brain mechanism that was key to our evolutionary progress. The ability to recognize patterns and generalize from experience, to predict what’s likely to happen in the future- in short, the ability to imagine - is something humans do far better than any other animals. It’s what allowed us (aided by the far less glamorous opposable thumb) to take over the world” (Lemonick). What this means is our brain triggers the beat and gets a hang of it. We have the ability to recognize the rhythm fast and we automatically follow the rhythm and that is what makes us enjoy those tunes. Our brain triggers music faster than animals they take a short pause in order for them to follow the rhythm but on the other hand, our brain grasps the music so we can follow along. The music can be a tune we like or dislike but we will still tap to it and listen to it as many times as we can to figure out if we like it or not.
Music plays a huge role in my life because it is almost a transport to another world. I listen to music when I am happy, sad, or mad. It makes me forget about everything and clears my mind because I like listening to the rhythm and the message of the songs I listen too. I listen to mostly any genre of music but I like the music that also teaches you a lesson. It puts me in a positive mood if I listen to music even if I get to listen to just one song. Music has a huge impact on people it helps them with many different things.

  2. Have you ever stop and ask yourself why does music have a huge impact on us? Music is a hug thing in our society, it has changed our world in so many ways. Music is everywhere its international and its in different languages. Music it's not just a song it's more than the it can help our brain in many things it can also trigger emotions into our body. “Melody and rhythm can trigger feelings… bring memories from childhood vividly back to life”(Lemonick). Lemonick means that when we hear a song or a rhythm that we heard or like it triggers feelings, those feeling can be from joy or sadness it all depends on what the song or the rhythm of the bet is (Lemonick). Most of the feelings we get are a 50 to 50 percent of chance because most of our feelings are equally. Music can also bring childhood memories it can remind you of when you first scored your first goal and heard his song. It can also remind you when you first got your first kiss. A love song can bring all those lovely memories right back at once but it can also bring bad memories like when you first got your heart broken by a boy or girl. Listen to a sad song can make you cry because your ‘‘love’’ broke up with you. Adel is one artes you need to listen if you're feeling sad because most of her songs are sad and based on a break up. Music can bring feelings to us but how do we get those feelings? Well we get those feelings from our brain, our brain craves music because it needs it for our feelings. “... music triggers activity in the nucleus accumbens… releases the “pleasure chemical”...” (Lemonic). The accumbens is a part of our body that releases pleasure like when we eat or during sex, well we listen to music the accumbens reacts and gives us pleasure (Lemonick). When I listen to music I feel happy and on a save place like if it was just me and all my favorite songs.

  3. What I think MLK meant by the quote above is that equality is key. Because color will not kill color and whites would not kill other whites. He basically meant that if we were equal we would take it for granted and commit crimes against each other. Which is true and grand. For a fact because nowadays everyone’s killing each other. Especially own kinds. Now that we are equal we do kill each other. We take simple stuff like that for granted. Just because everyone is trying to get the upper hand on the next. Everyone wants the same thing. Copy cats of an original. So they try to kill the original just to brag. And become the next. He probably meant that whites would only be able to kick coloreds abroad. Color on color was absurd back then. Everything was black against whites or vice versa whites against blacks. And hate only leads to motivation. If a person hates you they love you in the littlest way just because they’re taking their time out to hate you. Mlk kept the mindset of peace and equality so he often wrote good quotes like the one above. It is interesting to think about how the time has evolved. From his time to 2016-. Further more I must say that the quote that Dr. Martin Luther King wrote is mighty good. There is multiple meanings by the quote. Everyone might speak on how they feel about the quote. And also speak on what it is about but the only person to decide if its right or not is the king himself who wrote the quote. Hate is a strong word my grandmother always told me as young boy. “To love is to hate” she said. Never forgot and never will. She was so right that I could not leave her left. Everything evolved from the old days from when Mlk was living. For one everyone feels that we are equal. No one really cares about skin color. Segregation is rare these days because the love and hate is combined. So with those two together, on and off. The outcome lies in between the lines today.
