“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

~ Steve Jobs

Keeping Job's statement in mind, discuss the concept of thinking and acting for yourself.  What influences exist in your life that can impact how you live?  How do these outside factors influence your thoughts, actions and experiences?

  1. I always follow my first thought and instinct. Which has probably misconstrued my concept of responsibility? With that being said I always keep in mind that I have responsibility and priorities so I try not to get side tracked with a lot of things. I have a lot of things going for me as far as living the good life on a beach sipping pinna colada. Everyone has a secret life that no one knows about, and being a Rap Artist just so happens to my secret. I do shows, I book venues, they book me etc. But I pretty much keep stuff to myself because if I tell ya. You wont believe me so, what’s the point? The point is, you don’t have to be high key to live high key. Being patience and staying low-key is enough! I live by steady rules of my own Stay Humble and pay your way. By staying humble you show not only yourself but other people that you have the courage to do and be what you want. Although, I often pay my way, some people have so much respect and loyalty towards me that I barely pay for anything anymore. My grandma always told me “Pay Your Way” and I listened. But now I feel like I paved a way. Everyone that knows and hangs out with me already knows the things I do and want to be become in the future. Pretty much everyone I hang out with knows the trials and tribulations of the Rap Game and my life so they know, I am goanna make it big! I’m not saying im the next Jayz, Method man, or Red man but Im the next big thing out of jersey besides fetty wap. I love music, I’ve grown up around all types of music which makes me inspired. Also, my brothers, and sisters and cousins all have the same mentality as me which made me feed off of them because I grew listening to their music. But I still wonder why the3y have sdo many songs so many good records, but still havnt gone mainstream or signed any deals yet. They have been doing music for years but I guess the fame takes it tolls and people don’t want to be overruled by an iron fist.

    1. I'm glad you are doing things because you want to. And got your plans for the future. And aunt Pat is right, pay your way, life ain't free. And your family not always gunna be there. Do things on your own. Don't depend on anybody but yourself, because don't nobody got you like you got your self. You got your lesson already just know when to use them for which situation.

Steve Jobs said "your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life." Here is how I interpret what he is saying, don't drink just make another person happy, then you will be living their life. For the fact you doing the things you are doing just to please them. At the end of the day, what your doing is only going to affect your life not yours. Then you will be the one to wish you didn't do the things you did. They don't love your consequences. Don't act a certain way and do things because your friends want you to just so they can accept you. See me, I used to live someone else's life I used to do things to please others, do things because I seen other people doing doing it. And it looked cool to do, so I would take it upon myself and join them. Til the day I asked myself do I really want to do this? Is this really really me? I did things because my sister did it, and as I got older I realize that wasn't me. Just because she did it don't mean I had to do it. Every time I told my mom I would make a change in my life she would say yeah yeah yeah whatever. And that always had me thinking that I could never do what I said I was going to do so I would fall back and wait for things to fall into place. But when I asked my godmother and friend what should I do, they gave me the steps to take for me to get from here to my purpose. They told me I can't just sit and wait on it. For it to happen I must do the task that God gave me to pass so I can be on my Mary way So I made a change in my life with some help from my godmother Monique and a male friend of mine.
