* If you were faced with ending a relationship because your family and your girlfriend/ boyfriends family did not get along, would you end it or stay together? Explain why or why not and be sure to use examples when explaining and also relate it to Romeo and Juliet.*

  1. If I was faced with ending a relationship because my family and my boyfriends family did not get along I would probably not end it depending on the person. If he was what I really wanted then I would have to talk to my family about it. If they didn't understand then I would do it anyway. If I like someone i'm going to date them regardless of what my parents say.If he made me happy, then my parents should be happy for me and if I made him happy, his parent should be happy for him. It's my life, so why should they be able to decide what I want if they aren't me. If they have never had a decision to make like that then they would know. Then, there is Romeo and Juliet. If my love was as strong as Romeo and Juliet, then I would stay with him. Romeo and Juliet's family absolutely one hundred percent hated each other, so talking them out of it wasn't even an option. They loved each other so much they completely went against what their parents said. They still continued to see each other, but they didn't care how much trouble they could have gotten into. In the end, both Romeo and Juliet died and the family feud ended. Once, it ended it was too late because their parents had to deal with losing a child over love they didn't want in the first place. If their parents would have been more understanding, they would have always been together and no one would have died. Overall, I think that if you really like someone or love you should be with them no matter what anyone else thinks or says.

    1. I completely agree with what you said brianna. it is true that you should always be with the person you love no matter what.

    2. Brianna, I agree with you. Romeo and Juliet knew that they probably would get in trouble if they kept seeing each other, but they did it anyways. That's what true love is.

    3. I agree with you response, Brianna. You should always find a way to be with the person you love the way Romeo and Juliet did.

  2. If I were faced with ending a relationship because y family and my girlfriend’s family did not get along I would still stay together. I would because in Romeo and Juliet's case they were madly in love and why would I want to end that. Also I could talk it over with my family and try to work things out with the families. If that doesn't work I would just force my family to be nice to the other family. And if that failed I would break up with the girl because it wouldn't be worth it to cause so much trouble in my family and her family. In Romeo and Juliet the family's tried to get along but for god’s sake they couldn't. So Juliet went home after and took a pill to go to sleep. Soon after Romeo found Juliet on her bed, He thought she was dead and he killed himself. Than Juliet awoke and saw Romeo killed himself for her, So she did the same. I think if I was in this case I wouldn't have acted like that. I wouldn't have killed myself. I think that is over reacting. When Romeo died I’m sure he would want the best for Juliet and for her not to die. Also he would want her to find someone else and to be happy with her new husband. That’s what I would want if I was put into that situation like Romeo. Another example from Romeo and Juliet was when the Juliet’s cousin died when the two families’ tried to make peace with one another. This was devastating for Juliet. If this were me as Romeo I would’ve made my family not settle things in a violent way so someone wouldn’t get killed.

    1. I completely agree with you Zach. I would stay together with my girlfriend if our families didn't get along. I would be like Romeo and Juliet just like you. I would try to work things out between the families.

    2. I agree zach. if all that nonsense on the side was happening I would still stay with the girl i love and also in the end try to get others to get along and not fight and argue all the time.

  3. If I was faced with ending a relationship because my family and my girlfriend's family didn't get along, I would probably stay together. Especially if I really liked the girl, I wouldn’t let our families get in the way of our relationship. If you really truly someone nothing should be able to separate you. If you guys weren’t really in love and were more like friends, then i can see you ending a relationship because your two families don't get along. True love is hard to find, so if you find it you should never let it go. People often say they have true love for someone else but often it’s not. You will know when you have true love, it is a feeling like no other. I have a girlfriend and I know that i wouldn’t let our families separate us. If they didn’t like each other I would try to get them to like each other, because I know my parents would let me date someone they don’t like. I hope my girlfriend would feel the same. Romeo and Juliet feel the same way I do, they didn't let their families separate each other. They are an example of true love, I don’t know what could have separated them. I think it’s crazy to marry someone the day after you meet them. You must have to really like each other, just like Romeo and Juliet did. If I had a relationship like them I would never let it go. In my opinion nothing can replace love like that. Some people might stick to their parents word and not date someone if their families don’t get along, but if you really like someone you should stay together. That is why if I was faced with ending a relationship because my family and my girlfriend’s family didn’t get along, I would stay together.

    2. I agree Jakob. I would stay with my girlfriend. It would be stupid to leave her because the families disagree. You have to work things out.

  4. If I was faced with ending a relationship because my family and my girlfriend’s family did not get along, I would still stay together with the person I love the most. My family should understand that we will not break up due to their fighting. They have to get used to us being in love with each other regardless of anything. Dating someone is the best feeling in the world. So you don’t that feeling to be lost forever, so you will do anything to make each other happy. If you love someone a lot, then you will be with that person for a long time. You will do everything in your power to see your girlfriend/boyfriend. Family feud shouldn’t be involved with us two. They should try to get along with each other and make peace. I love my girlfriend more than anything, like with Romeo loving Juliet more than anything. If the fight gets out of hand with the two family’s fighting because of our relationship. Then me and my girlfriend will talk and try to fix this problem. Romeo and Juliet were two teenagers to love each other at first sight. They were in true love at first sight. They started dating and loved each other more than anything. But the two families didn’t like each other and had a family feud. Romeo and Juliet still loved each other and didn’t care if they got in trouble or not. At the end, Romeo thought he saw Juliet die on her bed. So in his mind, he would love her no matter what. So he killed himself for his love for Juliet. But Juliet didn’t die, she was asleep. When she saw that Romeo die, she killed herself too for Romeo. The main theme is that you should love the person no matter what happens.

    2. I agree all the way Anthony. Everyone should stay with who they love, not what others think. It's your life, not theirs. Also, your example from Romeo and Juliet was good. Romeo loved her and did what he saw was for him. You own your life, not others.

  5. If I was faced with an ending relationship because my family and their family didn’t get along together I would stay together. I would because it is my life not their life. If I was happy with someone and they were too I would stay. I would try to talk it out with my family too so it would make things easier but if that doesn’t work I would still stay. If I am happy my parents should be happy too. I would just tell them they don’t even have to talk to them if they don’t want to because I am only 14 it is not like i'm getting married already. Even though they were teenagers in Romeo and Juliet I would never marry that young even if I was aloud too. I would not do what they did in Romeo and Juliet. I think they overreacted a lot by killing themselves. Even if I was that in love I don’t think I would ever do that. I know you don’t want to lose that person that you love but I don’t think that means you should kill yourself. Both of their families didn’t get together very well. They didn’t get along at all and they didn’t want Romeo and Juliet together. It was a really big family feud. They couldn’t be together in life so they both died together. They were really in love and just wanted to be together. They hated the family feud that they were in and they just wanted to love each other. But I would not do what Romeo and Juliet did I would just try to talk it out between the families. If I loved someone that much I would find a way to fix it not kill myself.

  6. If I had to choose between staying with a girlfriend or keeping peace with the family, I’m not entirely sure what I would choose. If the girl was like the perfect personality and we got along really well, maybe I would stay with her. But family is forever and you can’t change that, so I would have to live without parents for the rest of my life, and same as her. Even though parents are annoying sometimes, they are always there to help, unless it’s like Romeo and Juliet situation. But I’ve sort of dealt with this situation last year, just a lot less dramatic. My parents didn’t like the girl, and her parents didn’t like me. Kinda similar to Romeo and Juliet from what I know so far. But Romeo and Juliet’s parents were kinda to the extreme type and if they were a bit more humane they probably would have been able to work it out instead of a war between them. But it wasn’t like we just decided to be together; it took a while. But in Romeo and Juliet’s case I think that it was way too rushed and they had only met each other the day before they died. I think it was just that they wanted the thrill for a while and really, in real life I couldn’t see it lasting longer for them if they lived past the two day mark of their relationship. Just my opinion. In conclusion, if our parents disagreed and I had to choose between girl or family, I think it depends if the girl is real and everything, and not just a week fling, then I would stay with her. But if it wasn’t serious, then I would just forget it. Not in a harsh way. I think that she would want to live with her parents more than stay with me. Most, but not all, would choose parents over boyfriend/girlfriend if they seriously had to choose.

  7. If I was faced with ending a relationship because my family and my boyfriends family didn’t get along, I would not end the relationship. If I met a guy, who I fell madly in love with told me he was part of the family that was having a feud with my family, I would not really think much of it. Even though me family means the world to me, I have to find someone to raise a family with. If I let that guy go, I probably won’t get over him. My family and his family would have to get over their feud and learn to support us. Loving someone means never letting them go no matter what even if it is about a fight between your families. Nothing can come between true love even your family. They should be understanding and put aside their differences. In Romeo and Juliet, their families were not supportive of them being together, but Romeo and Juliet still stayed together despite the consequences. They knew how much trouble they could’ve gotten into but they didn’t care. All they wanted was to be together and for their families to get along, and nothing more. Their love was so strong that they literally died for each other. They couldn’t imagine a world without the other and would never want to live in a world without each other. Their families could not put aside their differences for their children and look how that ended. The families should’ve been more understanding and let Romeo and Juliet be together. Even if they weren’t completely on the same page, they should’ve realized that Romeo and Juliet really cared about each other and they should be together for the rest of their lives.

  8. If I was faced with ending a relationship because the two families didn’t get along i wouldn’t leave them for something like that unless one of two happens. Either she was a total jerk and deservived the break up and I was better off without her, or is one of the families hurts the other family. If people were getting hurt just because of a relationship I feel like it would be better if we stopped seeing each other. I mean what if smeone died, I personally would feel as if their death would be on my hands, and I would live my whole life with guilt. It also matters about how long you’ve been together. If you were like Romeo and Juliet and had been together for less then a week then a break up isn’t a bad idea. But if the relationship had been going steady for a long period and the families just resently had the dispute then i would try to talk it out between the two families. In Romeo and Juliet even though the two families hate each other two two still see each other in privete this is because they’re afraid that the other family discovering their love. However in the end they both die. I think that if they were to talk it out, with the family they would have made out better in the long run. They might have bean allowed to be together, they might not have but the odds were more in their favor. So if I was in a similar situation, I would look at the situation and see how i should handle it.

    1. Troy I agree with you a lot. I think the boyfriend/girlfriend has to do something directly, or something drastic has to happen for us to break up. I like you mentioning how long the relationship has been because that is important too.

  9. If i was faced with this kind of situation, I would end it Immediately. I would for one major reason and some other reasons. One is because i wouldn't feel happy. The whole point of life is to be happy. If i was arguing a lot with family or whatever it just wouldn't make me happy. It would actually make me kind of depressed knowing that the people that i love i won’t be able to talk to anymore due to connection reasons. In Romeo and Juliet he is obsessed with this girl and they end up falling in love until they both killed themselves. They did that for each other. that just proves what they would do for each other. If i was having issues with family i would just try and get away from it but i still wouldn't forget about my family because i love them. Same with a girlfriends. Ifme and whoever we're constantly disagreeing and arguing, then i would say it wouldn’t work out and leave her because it isn’t making me happy it is only making my meaning of life worse. In Romeo and Juliet he leaves a girl to unite with another one that he fell in love with. This resembles relationships because if things aren't working out i think it is time to find someone new that will make you happy and make your life enjoyable. As you can see, There are many situations in life when this scenario could take place. What i am saying is if you are disagreeing with someone don't just abandon them and actually stay with them and work things out, or just move on in life and find someone new who does make your life happier.

  10. If my boyfriend’s family and my family do not get along, it doesn’t matter because it is my happiness and not theirs. I could care less what my family thinks because I am my own person, and if I love someone and my parents don’t, it wouldn’t make sense for me to break up with them. I am obviously dating them for a reason, it is my life, and not theirs. They already had their chance, this is mine. I believe as if my happiness does not depend on how good of friends my boyfriend’s parents and my parents are. Love is love and it should not be separated because of the parent’s decisions. In “The Power of One,” an English boy finds himself attracted to and Afrikaner girl. The Afrikaners and English are enemies. The girl’s father does not give the boy permission to see his daughter but he finds a way to see her anyway. The father hires a guard to follow and spy on the girl to make sure the girl is not hanging out with the English boy. Well the boy decides to teach a few blacks to read and write so they could go back and teach a few more. The girl goes to help the boy teach and the guard sees them, calls backup and raids the building. There was a lot of violence and one of the cops went to go smash the boys head with the police stick and the guard ended up killing the girl because she went to block him. So because of the guard the girl’s father hired, the girl was killed. It was all of the fathers help. Romeo and Juliet’s parents forbid them to meet so when they did, they got in trouble. No teenager should have to sneak around to see their boyfriend/girlfriend, the parents should accept it no matter the circumstances.

  11. If I was faced with an ending relationship because my family didn’t want my boyfriend and I together because of their problems I think I would stay with them. I would try to get my boyfriend and my parents to talk and see eye to eye. I’d try to make them see what I see in them. If they couldn’t then I think I’d make my parents and the boy get over it and respect my decision and each other. If the boy makes me happy, then they should be happy even if it’s temporary. My parents are my parents, they do everything for me, and the boy has a problem with them he needs to get over himself or leave. I think that I should have a little control over what my heart is saying, I mean Romeo and Juliet did. The situations are different, I don’t think I’d be getting married the day I have my first date with him. My parents shouldn’t be as strict as their parents. Romeo and JUliet’s parents didn’t even know Romeo, just their ancestors. My dad and mom have told me that they don’t care about your last name, or their family, they want to make their judgements. I mean unless my boyfriend’s great granddad killed mine or something then I can understand. I hope my parents could be understanding and accept my choices, and hopefully just let me be happy with this boy. I think my parents would try to get over it because after a while you just accept it, we said this in class the other day. How people just learn to love someone, so I hope my parents would learn to live with it.

  12. If I was faced with ending a relationship because my family and my girlfriend's family didn't get along I would still continue the relationship.I wouldn't end a relationship with someone i loved just because their parents disapproved of them because she was in a family they hated. If me and her had problems then I would end the relationship.I wouldn't end it because our families hate each other.I should make my own decisions on how i want to spend my personal life and who I want to spend it with.My family shouldn't decide how my personal life is gonna be and not let me be able to decide my personal life.Parents shouldn't drag their kids into a family feud and not let them be who they want to be with. This is similar to the plot and story of Romeo and Juliet. In Romeo and Juliet two lovers aren't allowed to be together because their families are in a feud but they still decided to stay with each other and date secretly. They resisted their families demands to not be together but they still stayed together. It would be the same for me,I wouldn't allow family problems or family demands to stop me from being with someone. They also didn't care what their families thought because they were so in love. They didn't allow anyone to get in their way and especially their families. In the end though Romeo and Juliet both die and the family feud ends. This shows that nobody could get in the way of Romeo and Juliet. They stayed together to the end.I wouldn't take it as far to kill myself but I would stay someone if i loved them that much no matter what anyone says. This shows that you shouldn't let people get in the way of someone you love.

  13. f I was faced with ending a relationship because my family and my boyfriends family did not get along, I would break up with them. Instead of hurting more than one person when telling your parents that you choose to be with them rather than your family, you would only be hurting one person by breaking up with someone. There is no point in proceeding on with a relationship when if your parents don't like each other, their father will not grant your wishes to marry your wife. Being in love does not come before family. Family has been there before your significant other and will always be there for you no matter what wrong you do. Family has always got your back and has no choice but to love you. A boyfriend or girlfriend is like a lollipop. When you first get it, you are infatuated and want to devour it all and lick it to get as much flavor as you can on your tongue. But the more you lick, the smaller the lollipop becomes. The less you have in your possession and before you know it, there's nothing left. But still there is the stick that held the lollipop together. A girlfriend or a boyfriend is only a temporary fix. Family is the one who will always be there in the end no matter what the consequences. In Romeo and Juliet, their love story was naturally unreal. To believe that love and lust is powerful enough to kill is crazy. Your family knows you best. They knew that them being together is wrong and only causing trouble. In the end, they kill themselves wanting eternal life together to be in love. What if there is no afterlife? How crazy do they think their love story is now.

  14. If I were faced with ending a relationship because my family and my girlfriends family did not get along, i would end it because with each of the families keep coming into contact with each other, more and more problems will be caused and create a bigger feud. If we were to keep seeing each other, parts of our families might get even more angry and cause the argument between the two to go too far. If the families keep seeing each other, they could gather more information about each other, and plan something evil of deadly against the other. For example, with enough anger and info about the other family, they could plan an attack and cause the feud to become a war. Also, if the relationship were to not end, they could become angry with me and let out all their anger on me. This could put stress on me and cause me to get mixed thoughts and have massive anxiety since they’re all angry at me just for seeing her. They would make me feel i'm doing everything wrong and make me the center of attention and the start of the family feud. I would end it so the families won’t have to see and take the argument too far and seriously. I would want both families to be protected and safe from doing anything stupid to each other, making it worse. This relates to Romeo and Juliet because Romeo and Juliet met and fell in love at first sight and wanted to be together forever, but their families were stopping them from seeing each other, creating a big family feud between the two. Instead of ending the relationship, they continued on with it, secretly seeing each other. However, once caught still seeing each other, the argument between the two families became even bigger, and took things too far. Families shouldn’t have to create an argument between the two, and everything should stay happy and settle. If the feud between the two families goes to extreme measures, then you should do everything you can to prevent that, because someone can do something stupid, and can affect each family lives greatly, starting a war between the two.

  15. If I was faced with ending a relationship because my family and my boyfriend’s family did not get along, I would not end the relationship. I think that if you truly love someone you would stay with them no matter what. Even though Juliet’s father told her to stay away from Romeo, he still did whatever it took to see her. He loved her enough to push the limits and do whatever it takes to get the girl that he really loves. Also, it’s my feelings. They wouldn’t know how happy I would be with that person so they shouldn’t be able to tell me who I should love and who I can’t love. Juliet’s father never really knew how much she liked Romeo. All he payed attention to was that their family’s hated each other. He was only thinking about what was good for his family but didn’t think about what Juliet really wanted. I would do what I would feel is right, not for what my family thinks. If I’m happy with who the boy I’m with, I wouldn’t end it just because my family thinks it would be wrong to love him. Juliet disobeyed her father’s rules and Romeo went to get the girl he love, doing whatever it took to be with her forever. Knowing that I wouldn’t be able to be with the boy I really loved for the rest of my life would make me do anything to be able to be with him. My family should not be controlling me on who I’m dating. Even if me and my boyfriend’s family’s hate each other. They don’t know what’s right for me because it’s my happiness that matters to me, not theirs. So, I would rather do what’s right for me instead of what’s right for them because I know that I truly love this person.

    1. I somewhat agree with you Samantha. You shoud do what makes you happy and make decisions for yourself. The way your family thinks of that one person shouldn't bother you since you are only doing what makes you happy, but i would be afraid of what my family could do and change the way of how they think of me. I wouldn't want to cause a huge problem in my family and destroy it just cause i want to be happy. I would want to try and make everyone happy, especially my family since they were with fo0r my whole life.

    2. Sam, I agree with you. Your happiness shouldn't be controlled by your parents. You control your life. True love is very hard to
come across so try to keep it when it comes into your possession. So if you break up with them because of your families, you might loose it forever. I believe that everything happens for a reason, so there is a reason why you met that person, and there is a reason your families might hate each other, but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Stick to your heart, not your parents happiness.

  16. If i was ever faced with ending relationship with my boyfriend because him and my family did not get along, to be honest I would not really know what to do. I guess someone really can not understand until their in that situation. If I was madly in love with him and I saw a future, I would probably stay with him. I would never want to ruin a chance, that could be my whole life. On the other hand, if he was just another boy that I had no future with I would break it off. My family is the most important thing to me, but if I was in love with this boy, he would be my new family. In Romeo and Juliet the two main characters fall in love at first sight and fall madly in love with each other. They would do anything to stay together, they betray their families and even die for eachother. If I ever found a boy and fell in love with him, just like Romeo and Juliet, I would have no choice but to stay with him. Many people in life never even meet the person they are going to spend their entire lives with. They don't even find love. If I have the pleasure to even meet the love of my life I would never even consider breaking up with them. In Romeo and Juliet, both characters commit suicide because they cannot live without their love. A love like that is definitely worth fighting for. So, if I ever had to betray my family for a love worth dying for, I would. People you fall in love with come once in a lifetime. If you could keep them forever you should and never let go of them.

  17. If I had to face ending a relationship with my boyfriend since our families don’t get along, I wouldn’t end it. If I really like him and he’s everything I was looking for, I wouldn't want anything to tear us apart. I would sit down with my family and tell them how much I love him and explain to them how much he means to me. I won’t let him go just because of some silly family feud that could end with just a simple apology. True love is something that you should fight for so it can last forever, no matter what the circumstances are. In Romeo and Juliet, Romeo does anything to be with his true love regardless of with the family feud consists of. Even though they fell in love at first sight, they stayed together because they were happy, and that’s what love is about. In a relationship you stay together even when there's a tough road ahead. They could've gotten into a lot a trouble being together due to their family feud, but they chose to be together regardless of what could happen. Their relationship was so strong, all they wanted to do was be together. Juliet even tricked her father into thinking she was dead so she didn’t have to marry another man and stay in a relationship with Romeo. Romeo was devastated, so he decided to kill himself with poison because he didn't want to live without his true love. Romeo truly loved Juliet more than anything he’s ever loved before due to such a remarkable sacrifice he decided to make. After Juliet found this out, she decided to do the same in order to be with him. In all, I would not end a relationship with my boyfriend all because of our families disliking each other.

  18. If I was faced with ending a relationship because my family and my boyfriend’s family did not get along, I would still stay with my boyfriend. If I honestly had deep and real feelings for this person I wouldn’t stop dating them because, our parents don’t like each other. I mean for example in Romeo and Juliet their parents didn’t like each other but that didn’t stop them from getting married the very next day. Say your friend hated this one girl but you actually liked her as a friend, would you stop hanging out with her because your friend didn’t like her, probably not. If I loved this guy I was dating it would literally break my heart if we had to break up. I would always regret it and compare him to every new guy I dated and realize that nobody could ever replace him. I feel like the parents would need to work it out or at least be civil because, it must get tired of not getting along with someone for so long. If your parents could just see how much you value this person, I think would understand how much they mean to you.If my love was as strong as Romeo and Juliet I would sacrifice pretty much anything to be with my boyfriend. Romeo thought that Juliet was dead so he ended his life and so did she. I mean if that isn’t true love I don’t know what is. I mean not many people would go to the extent of killing themselves I mean I wouldn’t; I guess they just couldn’t live without each other. All in all, if I truly loved this person I wouldn’t let anyone stand in my way, not even my family and I value family a lot.

    1. Tori, I agree with you. I wouldn't break up with my boyfriend neither. You made a good point about it being tiring for families to not get along for a while. For the most part I wouldn't go to the extent of dying for them, but it would also truly depend on the situation.

  19. If I was faced with ending a relationship because my family and my boyfriend’s family did not get along, I would stay together. I think I would stay together because I wouldn’t just let go of someone I truly loved, even if the two families are in a feud. Sometimes you have to fight and stand up for yourself and what you believe in especially if it’s involving something you care deeply about or believe in. I think that’s what true love really is about; staying by each other's side no matter the circumstances because you care that much. If I ever did find the true one I would do everything in my power to stay with him. Romeo and Juliet did the same; even though their families did not like each other they got together anyways, that’s how strong their love was. Both Romeo and Juliet would defy their families, too. They don’t care what came in their way because they were determined to see each other. They even die for each other in the end, which shows how strong and powerful their love is. Although my decision and Romeo and Juliet’s decision are similar, there is one thing I would have done differently. I, understanding our families being in a feud, would try to explain to my family my opinions and how I feel so they get my point of view. I would want to try to have them see where I’m coming from, because this whole ridiculous disagreement between the families may have nothing to do with me or “the one”. Just because the parents don’t care for each other it doesn’t mean I should suffer from the conflict. In conclusion, no matter what, I would stay together similarly like Romeo and Juliet.

  20. If I were faced with ending a relationship because my family and my girlfriend’s family did not get along, I would continue with the relationship and stay together. The reason I would do this is because I am the one who is going to be living and loving her for the rest of my life. It isn’t their decision to decide who I love and who I want to spend the rest of my life with. Since it isn’t their decision, I will do what I want, and I will stick with that decision. Also, if you love someone so much, sometimes you can forget about the hard things from the past. It can vanish in a matter of seconds, just by one single thing. An example of this is when Romeo saw Juliet for the first time. He was still depressed about how he was unable to date Rosaline, and had been depressed for a while. But the very second he laid his eyes on Juliet, all that seemed to fade, to disappear. All his attention, curiosity, and love was now on her and her only. The thought about Rosaline was completely gone, and she was completely out of the picture. If he had never seen Juliet at that time, he would have still been all depressed about how he could not date Rosaline, but now she wasn’t even a thought. She didn’t matter to him one bit anymore, he didn’t love her anymore. She didn’t phase him one bit anymore. All that he cared about was Juliet. So as you can see, the decision I would make if i was faced with the conflict of ending a relationship because my family and my girlfriend didn’t get along, I would easily choose continue to date her.

  21. If I was faced with ending my relationship because my family didn’t get along with them it would be a tough decision. If I truly liked the person I would not end it. I would hide it from my family or tell them that I wouldn’t do it. I don’t think I should lose my happiness and theirs just because my family doesn’t like them. My family could learn to get used to them or they could just not meet up a lot. If I told my family that I really liked the person I’m sure they would understand and deal with it. I wouldn’t let it get in the way of my relationship. I’m sure they would be able to get over it or at least deal with disliking each other. If I didn’t like the person that much and it wasn’t worth all the stress of my family not liking them I might end it.
This situation is a big problem in Romeo and Juliet. The Montagues and the Capulets hate each other a lot and there would no way be a marriage between the two. Even with the history of the two families the two still fell in love. Even with knowing each other and who their families were they still loved each other. They didn’t let problems between the people they’re related to get in the way of their love.
If you’re in love with someone you shouldn’t let your family or friends get in the way with it. You should be with the person you love and not who your family and friends approve of. It is like that in other parts of the world and I don’t think it is good at all. You should be with who you want to be with.
