  1. "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” This quote means a lot. Some people won’t really understand it, but I do. It’s saying that with immature love, the people don’t like their personalities. They like their looks, or their body. Many people can already see this. That’s why most people said immature people can’t love. For the second part, it says that: you love the person for what they are, and that’s why they love you. This is relevant in Romeo and Juliet as well. Romeo and Juliet are in immature love. They don’t really truely love each other for their personality. 1. I agree with you. Romeo and Juliet fall in love within just one flip of a page. No one can be so infatuated with someone within just one glance of each other. They are driven together through their parents rivalries knowing they would be forbidden to love one another. Theor love for each other is pure immaturity.

    2. I completely agree with you josh. Romeo and Juliet ended up falling in love with just one glance at each other. Everything seemed to takeoff from then on, and it is just immature love.

  2. "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you." The difference between mature and immature love is that one, you are physically in love but the other you're in love with you mind, body and spirit. There is no functioning without your significant other in mature love. You need the person you love because you rely on them. With immature love, you are infatuated with the facade of the person. The way they act or look or the way they dress or how wealthy they are. Not their true personality or the way they treat you. In Romeo and Juliet, Romeo in the beg fining portrays immature love. He fell in love with the sight of Rosaline. He wanted to fulfil his lust and love with her rather than love her for who she is. He was angered by the fact that she was a nun that if he really did love her, he would accept the fact that what she believed in forbid her from marrying and carrying out sexual desires. He would respect that she wasn't shutting him out but only politely denying him because what she believed in wasworth more than being married to someone.
What this quote means to me is how I portray love for my mother.i don't love my mother just because I need her, I need her in my life because without her, I don't know how I would be able to love. When I was younger, I would count on my mom for things like making my lunch or doing my homework for me or reading to me at night. I would love her for doing all of those things for me that one day I could do by myself. Now that I'm older, I see that I need her because I love her. Whenever she is sick I make sure she recovers fully because without her, there is no me nor is there my family. Without my mom, we couldn't be able to function. It's like a car without breaks, It could work for a while but before you know it there are so many things happening at once you cannot control anything. That's what another is here for. Because without her there is no world. My family needs her because we love her.

    3. I agree with you Ashley. I think Romeo and Rosaline portrayed immature. Romeo didn't know what true love was until he met Juliet. He just thought he was in love with Rosaline, but really wasn't

  3. “Immature love says, ‘I love you because I need you’, mature love says, ‘I need you because I love you.” To me, this quote means that immature love is like you only fell in love with the person’s looks, not their personality. Mature love on the other hand, is actually loving each other no matter how they look, how wealthy they are, or what family they belong to. Romeo was showing immature love when he said that he “loved” Rosaline. He claimed that he couldn’t live without Rosaline. He just wanted to have someone to say “I love you” to. After Rosaline said that she wanted to become a nun and couldn’t get married, Romeo had a mental breakdown. He said that he couldn’t love anyone the same way as he did for Rosaline. That is, until he met Juliet. The way that he felt about Rosaline was fake. He never really loved Rosaline because if he did, he never would’ve fallen in love with Juliet. Romeo and Juliet showed immature love as well. Romeo fell in love with Juliet’s looks when he first looked at her, he said that Juliet was the prettiest girl he had ever seen. He also said that nobody that beautiful could ever exist on Earth. This proves that immature love was present between Romeo with Rosaline and Romeo with Juliet.
This quote relates to my life when I think about my family. They are the only people I show mature love to. They are the ones who stick with me and will stick with me forever. Whenever we have a disagreement, we always make up and everything turns out just fine. I need them because they’ve taken care of me whenever I’m sick or I just need someone. They may be strict but I know that they’re only doing that to protect me. I need my family because I love them.

    2. Noor I totally agree that immature love is only based on their looks and not looking at their real personality. Also, how mature love is really loving someone for who they are and not just worrying about how wealthy or how good they look.

    3. Noor I completely agree with you. Romeo and Juliet did have immature love. Yes I also agree that family are the only people I show mature love too because, its extremely true especially at this age.

    4. Noor I agree with you. Imature love is all based on looks. It's fake love. Also, I like how you mentioned they love each other no matter which family. Mature love doesn't care how you look. It doesn't care how rich you are.

  4. "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” This quote means that love is both mature and immature. Just like people are. Immature love is when you're really not in love with the person, you're in love with his / her looks. This is the case with Rosaline and Romeo. They fell in love with each others looks instead of by there personality. This shows because Romeo just left Rosaline who he “deeply” loved and was so depressed when Rosaline wouldn't marry him because she's a nun. Than the next day Romeo saw Juliet and said he was in love in with her now. Mature love is when you get the chance to know someone and don't like them just for their looks but also their personality. If you maturely love someone you love them with all their heart. Without the person you maturely loved you wouldn't be able to function or do anything without them. THis is like Romeo and Juliet. They are so in love that they would kill themselves if they couldn't be with either. And that's exactly what happened the died for each other.
This quote relates to my life in many ways. One was is with my family. I have a mature love for them. Without them I wouldn't be able to live or function. There would be no one in my life to provide a home and give me everything I need to succeed. Also I wouldn't have anyone to help me with homework and other problems. Also I couldn't go to school or get driven to other activities like sports. So without my family I wouldn't know how to survive by myself. So that is how the quote "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” relates to my life.

  5. The quotes ‘Immature love says, I love you because I need you’ , mature love says, ‘ I need you because I love you’.” basically means that for immature people they need love only for fun while people with maturity love not for fun but because they truly have love. What I mean is that immature love isn’t serious, but mature love is. The main difference is the commitment, In Romeo and Juliet, they had just met, AND they were not there to meet each other they were there to meet people they had planned ahead to see at the dance. There was no reading of personality or anything like that, they just saw each other and they liked what they saw. Another difference would be that with mature love comes peace and comfort when they get to know each other. With Romeo and Juliet there is no peace, instead there is lust, anger, and and lots of rushing. Another difference immature love is not real and it doesn’t last long. Mature love lasts forever because if it is real it wouldn't quit even through tough times. In a way I have mature love for my family because even though I hate them sometimes they are always there. They don’t leave because of hard times or conflict. A way that relates to Romeo and Juliet is that if their relationship lasted it would have not been for long unless I am completely wrong and it was mature love they had. For them they didn't truly love each other they just loved their looks. It really shows the meaning “of you can't judge a book by its cover”. Because what if later they just decided they didn't like each other's personality. With true love they would do anything for each other, even die. Sort of like Romeo and Juliet. Maybe it was mature love they had wrapped up in immature actions. But Romeo and Juliet were not there looking to find other soul mates, like what actually happened, but they were there to meet the people they were planning to marry in the near future.

  6. “Immature love says, “I love you because I need you.” mature love says “I need you because I love you.” To me, I think this quote means that loving someone doesn’t mean that you need them but really wanting them to be with you means that you really love them. Just because you say you love them doesn’t mean that you need them in your life. Saying that you really need them because you love them shows them that you are with them because you can’t stand to be away from them. Also, needing someone because you really love them shows that you are mature and are not going to leave them. Just saying that you love them because you need them doesn’t really show that you love them. You’re just saying that you love them because you have to be with them. When you really need that person, you feel a certain way next to them. You feel like you can’t survive without that person. Needing that one person in your life because you love them isn’t the same as saying you love someone because you need them. You really need that person with you because your feeling for them has you in a connection with them. If you just love someone because you need them is only saying that you doesn’t always mean that you need them. Sometimes, if you love someone doesn’t mean you have to constantly be with them. You may not have a certain connection with them. You might want them by you but not love that person. If you need that one person because you really love them can show that you really want to always be with them.So I think this quote means that “I love you because I really need you” isn’t saying that you really mean it. But needing them because you really love them shows that you have more feelings towards that person.

  7. Immature love says, “I love you because I need you”, and mature loves says, “I need you because I love you”. I think that means that immature love means that you don’t really love the person and mature love means you are really in love with that person. Immature love is just when you’re just with a person because of their looks or just to pass time. You’re not really in love with that person you don’t really need them in your life. I think that was the case of Romeo and Rosaline. He was just in love with her looks not for her personality or anything else. He didn’t really care too much about her. Mature love is when you really need that person in your life. You care about that person you don’t like them just for their looks. You love their personality and everything else about them. You really get to know them and talk to them and you fall in love with them that way. You think you really need them in your life and can’t really move on from them. I think that is what mature love is. I think that is what Romeo and Juliet had. Even though they didn’t know each other for that long Romeo still wanted to know everything about her. They didn’t want to live without each other and died for each other.
This could relate to my life too. I think I have mature love with my family or people that I call my family. I need them in my life or I wouldn’t be anywhere without them. They will always be there for me no matter what. They will help me with any of my problems and I will always be there for them. So that is what I think about the quote, “Immature love says.’I love you because I need you’, Mature love says,’I need you because I love you,”

  8. “Immature love says, ‘I love you because I need you’ , Mature love says, ‘I need you because I love you.” This is really deep and it kinda hits you hard, or it at least hit me hard. I think the quote means that immature people “love” their significant other because they need someone to hold onto and have. They aren’t really in love with them, they are in love with what they have. They need something that their partner has and gives to them, and they don’t want to let them go. They would be able to move on even though they were ‘in love’ with you and you’re “they’re one and only.” They don’t truly love, they have a crush.
Mature lovers say they need someone because they love them, and it’s true. People who are actually in love with each other don’t want to lose the person they need because they won’t be able to live, or move on because they love them so much. They fear what their life would be like without the person that makes them happy, and the person they know they can tell anything too. They don’t just like their faces, but their deep personality and the silly goofy things that they do. It isn’t just your average middle school couple, like they really need each other or they’d go insane. I feel like you need immature relationships to know how to have a real one. I mean if you don’t date or see someone who just likes you and barely gives effort, then you know when you find someone who really gives their all and would do anything for you, and you do it back then you found a real relationship. I think that’s why people back in the day divorce was uncommon, they really needed their husband or wife to live and survive.

  9. "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.”This quote means that people that are immature say they love you but truly don't mean it and people that are mature and take love seriously truly do mean it.Immature people don't know what love truly is because they are too immature. They might say they love someone because of their looks or their personality.People that truly do love someone dedicate themselves to that person or don't care about anyone else except that person. They do anything to make that person they love happy and would protect them no matter what.People that are immature wouldn't want to dedicate themselves to someone they love and wouldn't want to treat them like they are the only person in the world.Immature people love people because they caught their eye.Mature people love people because they want to be with someone that they feel they should be with.Someone that they feel they belong with no matter who they are or what they look like. Not because of someone's looks or the type of person they are.An example of mature love is Romeo and Juliet. In Romeo and Juliet they are star crossed lovers who fall in love at first sight.Even though they are both part of families that are opposing each other they still want to be together and meet in secret.Once Romeo thinks that Juliet is dead he kills himself. When Juliet sees that Romeo is dead she kills herself as well. This is a far fetched description of mature love but this shows that in mature love people will do anything to be together, just like how Romeo and Juliet killed themselves to be together. If you are to love someone then make sure you really want to be with them and not just want to be with them because of their looks.

  10. "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” This quote means a lot. It says that immature love is when two people love each other because of their own reasons and not because they truly love each other. In the quote it says that they love each other because they “need” you. That shows that it is for something other than love and that they only love the person because of something else. The quote says that true, mature love is when someone truly loves another. “I need you because I love you.” means that need someone and life would be hard without that because you love them so much. That is true love. In Romeo and Juliet, Romeo first falls in love with Juliet at first sight. After they meet Juliet falls in love with Romeo. This is immature love because the two barely know each other and Romeo based his love off of her looks. He couldn’t possibly love Juliet for being herself by just looks. The masquerade party and Capulets house where the unmarried women wore masks helps produce true, mature love. If men can’t see the ladies’ faces and only fall in love with their looks they are forced to fall in love with their personalities. Falling in love with someone for something other than their personalities is immature love. If Romeo fell in love with Juliet from talking to her, it would be true love. Since he only fell in love with her looks at first he isn’t truly in love with her, just her looks. Immature love is loving someone because you gain something from them or look good because of it. Immature love isn’t true love. Mature love is when you need someone because you love them; life would be hard because of how much you love them. This is Romeo and Juliet’s love so far.

  11. The quote "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you” has many different meanings, but this is how i see it. What I think it means is that immature love says “I love you because i need you” is love where the person is only loving this certain person because they have something they want. In fact, they don’t love the person at all, they just love something that the person has. They aren’t happy being with this person and don’t want to actually love them. They just want to use them since they have something they want and could make their life better, such as money, a good job, and many other things the phony lover may want or need from this certain person. However, Mature love says “I need you because i love you” is saying that this person wants this person because they love them. They don’t love something that this person have, they simply love the person they’re with. Worrying only about this specific person and nothing that they have is what real love is. This person is all you want. Willing to give up everything you own and still stay with this person is what mature love is. Love is something that can bring great happiness into your life, while an item is an inanimate object that does nothing and doesn’t bring the right kind of love into play. This relates to Romeo and Juliet because Romeo and Rosaline is an example of immature love. Rosaline doesn’t want to be with Romeo anymore since she is a nun and is married to the church, but Romeo still wants her because he just wants someone to bring him happiness. He doesn't really love Rosaline, he just wants her to make him happy and be with him so that he can feel he completed a big goal in his life. Love isn’t loving someone just because you need them, love is needing someone because you love them.

  12. "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you’, Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” I believe that this quote means a lot. You don’t love someone because you need someone, that’s like saying “The only reason I love my phone is because I need it.” I never realized how much I needed my grandfather until he passed away. I needed him because I loved him and he was the best grandfather I have ever had. I did not love my grandfather because I needed him. Immature love kind of comes off as “I’m using you, but I’m going to pretend I love you.” With mature love, it’s like saying, “I really love you and I need you in my life.” To me, the quote means that if they love you just because they make your life easier it not true love, but if you need them to live, it really is true love. Romeo and Juliet fall in love and t isn’t mature love. They fall in love so quickly they don’t even know each other’s name. It all happened in one night. They think they need each other and that they love each other because they NEED each other in their life They don’t really love each other, it not mature and that’s what really gets me about this story, they fall in love so fast that they don’t even know if its true love. If Romeo and Juliet never met each other, they would probably be better off and living happier lives, and not to mention, they would be alive. Love can be a really tricky thing, no matter what age. You could fall in love with their looks, or anything else and it could still be immature love. Make sure you actually know the person and that you haven’t met them within two seconds.

  13. The quote, “Immature love says, ‘I love you because I need you, mature love says, ‘I need you because I love you” means many things to me. For starters, the quote is saying people who have immature love would say I love you because I need you, immature love usually would occur between teenagers. I mean honestly if you think about it their love is pretty immature, a couple months prior they didn’t love you nor need you. That’s like saying I love Harry Styles so that’s why I need him. However, mature love says ‘I need you because I love you’, mature love usually would occur when you’re older, like when you’re an adult. Saying you love someone in a relationship is a very hard step but when you love someone you know you need them. For instance, I love my parents with my whole heart and therefore I’m also saying I need them. I honestly do need my parents; I wouldn’t know what to do without them. The big difference of mature love and immature love is mature love is real, immature love isn’t. These quotes can relate to Romeo and Juliet in many ways. The quote that relates to it more would be immature love ‘I love you because I need you’, because Romeo and Juliet’s love was not real. I mean to them it might have been, but nobody marries someone they just meet, I mean in frozen Elsie says “you can't marry a man you just met. But I guess Juliet's opinion differs, apparently they were star-crossed lovers and couldn't live without each other. Throughout the story you learn Romeo was literally in love with Rosaline and she could never love him back because, she wanted to be a nun. He was heartbroken and then he saw Juliet. They kissed like three times and then they were in love and couldn't live without each other. All in all, there's a huge difference between mature and immature love, but if I could ever love somebody i would want it to be real, not immature like Romeo and Juliet.

  14. The quote, “Immature love says, ‘I love you because I need you’, Mature love says, ‘I need you because I love you.” means that there are two types of love in this world. Between the two, there are different reasonings as to why they are classified as that. For example, when you’re immature you realize that you love the things that you need or want. The quote is saying that the immature love is just loving their partner because they just want to have them. So they think that they need each other when, in reality, they have no clue what they want. Mature love, on the other hand, has a clue on what they want. They need the people that they love in their lives because they know that they cannot live without them. They’ve been through heart breaks before and are educated on what love has to offer them and how much of a commitment it takes. Now-a-days I think that children or teenagers throw the word ‘I love you’ around like it’s nothing. Where some adults are respectful towards it because that’s what they think life is about.
The difference between mature love and immature love is that one is fully grown and the other is childish. In Romeo and Juliet I feel that their love for eachother is immature. They’re teenagers who know nothing about love except for the fact that you can get married. Romeo was a depressed sixteen year old trying to find somebody else to love after his previous lover wanted nothing to do with him. Juliet was a thirteen year old who wanted nothing to do with love or marriage until she met Romeo. Not even knowing each other that well they got married the day after they met. This in my opinion is immature love because they thought that they needed each other but if Romeo looked at another girl he could have probably fallen in love the same way he did with Juliet. Another thing is Romeo killing himself after Juliet pretended to be dead. Romeo thought that he couldn’t live without her, but he probably could have. Same goes to Juliet. She thinks that her life is over without Romeo, so she kills herself too. In conclusion, both immature and mature love can mean different things.

    1. Gabby, I completely agree with what you said. Immature and mature love are two types of love. Immature love is realizing that you love the things you need or want. Mature love is knowing they need the people that they love in their lives because they know that they cannot live without them.

  15. "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” I think that this quote means that if you really don't know what love is and you are immature about it, then you will likely just use someone instead of actually loving them. However, if you are mature about love and you do know what it really means, then you will rely on someone when you are in trouble because you love them. Many teens and even some adults will say they are in love will someone because they are using them, and they only love someone because they need them. On the other hand true love is hard to find. You will know when you act like you love someone, but you really don't and when you actually love someone. True love is a feeling like no other and you can’t fake it. You don't know how it is to love someone until you fall in love. For example Romeo acted like he was in love with Rosalin, but clearly he wasn’t. When he saw Juliet he forgot about everything he said about Rosalin and how much he loved her, and then he actually fell in love. Same thing with Juliet she said she didn’t want to marry and wouldn’t fall in love, but when she saw Romeo that all changed. They both were looking for different people at the parties, but then they saw each other and fell in love. They were enemies and they knew it, however by they figured that out it was too late, they already had true love for each other and it couldn't be broken. Romeo and Juliet both found out what true love is in a matter of 30 seconds. I think that you must really be meant for each other if you can fall in love that quick.

  16. "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you', Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” Each of these quotes have the same words but have two different meanings. Immature love means that you think you love them because they are what you want at the time, so you believe that they are perfect and you need them. Usually immature love means that you fallen in love with the person's looks, instead of there personality. Mature love means, that you are madly in love with them and you love everything about them, that you do not want to live without them. Mature love and immature love have different meanings but that is not the only difference between them. Most children and teens usually experience immature love. Teens can fall in love with a famous person and feel like they love them, that is immature love. Mature love is usually experienced by adults or pre-adults. Adults will meet someone, slowly fall in love with them, and will feel they need that person everyday of their lives, which is mature love. In the story Romeo and Juliet, by Shakespeare, two star crossed lovers fall in love at first sight, but their love story takes a drastic turn when they find out that one of them is a Capulet and the other a Montague. The two family feuds lead to the death of the two star crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet, which then ends the two family feuds. Romeo and Juliet is an example of immature love. The two fall in love at first sight, after being told that they love two other people. Their love is just a distraction of what is going with the rest of their lives. Romeo and Juliet want to believe they love each other, because they do not want to deal with their other lovers.

    1. I agree with you, Alyssa. Immature love usually ends up with someone falling for another person's looks. Today, a lot of people tend to say that they 'love' each other, but they just love the looks that the other person has. Mature love, however, is hard to find now a days because all people care about are looks instead of everything about the person. Romeo and Juliet fell in love just by looking at each other. In conclusion, immature and mature love are two different types of love.

  17. “Immature love says, ‘I love you because I need you’, Mature love says, ‘I need you because I love you.” Some people may think it is confusing, but you just have to break it down into pieces. They both have different meanings. ‘I love you because I need you’ is considered immature love. It means that you just want to be with someone because your mind tells you to. If you love someone you think you need them. Well what if you dont need them anymore, does that mean you will just stop loving them too. Then, ‘I need you because I love you,’ which is considered mature love. If you need someone it's because you love them. They need you, so that they can love you. Mature love is loving more than just a person looks. Immature love is what your mind tell you. Mature love is what your heart and soul tells you.
For example, Romeo and Juliet loved each other before they even knew each others name. That could be immature love because they kissed each other as strangers. Then, since Romeo had a mask on and Juliet couldn't see him, but still loved him, that is mature love. But there is also immature love mixed in the relationship. Romeo is going to the party to get over Rosaline and meet a new girl. Juliet was the first girl he saw at the party, and he just automatically loves her. This could be immature love because Romeo could just use Juliet as a way to get over Rosaline. He said he was so in love with Rosaline, that he would never love another girl. Then, he goes to this party and sees Juliet and completely forgets about Rosaline. ‘I love you because I need you’ and ‘I need you because I love you’ are two completely different quotes.

  18. “Immature love says “I love you because I need you” ,Mature love says ”I need you because I love you.” This quote means that love is fake when you love a person cause you need them, but there is true love when you need a person cause you love them. You can’t just love a person just because you need them. I you truely care about them you need them in your life. This quote says you if you need something you love it, or desire it. How ever in Romeo and Juliet, Romeo and Roseline’s love sinario seemed as though Romeo was mature enough to make a decission to life with Roseline and they looked as though they had mature love. But when he jumps ship, and falls for Juliet he seems like a four year old. So now Romeo has immaturelove with both Juliet and Roseline. He even goes as far to say that he never loved before he saw Juliet. Roseline has mature love for they church and knows that she needs it in her life. And Juliet isn’t old enough to know the difference between the two. She even says that marriage is something she doesn’t dream of. So far in the book we have only seen bad ways to show love for a person. The quote “Immature love says “I love you because I need you”, Mature love says “I need you because I love you” is not shown well in Romeo and Juliet.

  19. The quote, “Immature love says, ‘I love you because I need you’ , Mature love says, ‘I need you because I love you.” means to me that immature love is all about their looks and their body etc. Their only in love with how they look and not really about their personality. Meanwhile mature love is completely the opposite. Mature love is based on their personality, how they act, behave, if they’re funny, character traits, anything really. This relates to Romeo and Juliet very well. In Romeo and Juliet they are first found in love by how they look. When they are at the party, they can’t keep their eyes off each other just based on how they look. And everything just continues from there on out. They just love each other because of their looks meaning that it is an immature love. A lot of people just fall in love based on how people look. They instantly just start to love them, and nothing else just seems to matter to them. Even when the girl will be a bad person, terrible influence, have a very bad character, it wont matter to them. They just want all the looks. Meanwhile a person who has mature love doesn’t care about how pretty they look, or how nice their body is. They are their because they love how they act and how well they get along with each other. In Romeo and Juliet if Romeo had never seen Juliet, the story wouldn’t even be ‘Romeo and Juliet’. He would have never fell in love with how Juliet looked, if Juliet had wore a mask, it wouldn’t have even been a love story between them two. He instantly became in love with how she looked, and suddenly nothing else seemed to matter anymore. So as you can see, immature love is in love with how they look, and mature love is in love with how they act.
